i wish i could express myself
i write but i can’t find the right words
i sing but my vocal range is limited
i doodle but i cannot paint what i see
i love the guitar but i cannot play it

But hey
if I try

I can be me

I can see you
I can see your struggle
I can see you and me
I can see where you helped me grow

I can hold my impatience
I can transform my anger to firmness
I can adjust my expectations

I can be kind
I can be loving
I can be cheerful

I can try and make you smile
I can try and bring that twinkle in your eye
I can show how much you mean to me

I can do all this
can’t I?
I can mean so much
I can be me
